With our Certified program, we offer two levels of Certified Pre-Owned quality and Ford Gold Certified is the higher level option. Our Ford Blue Certified Pre-Owned vehicles have a lower price tag and yet they still provide you with exceptional quality and better warranty coverage than conventional used cars. To help you make the right decision, here's an overview of the two options.
The Gold Certified level of quality
Just to be considered for certification, a pre-owned Ford model must be six years old and have less than 80,000 miles. Every Gold Certified Ford must also pass an uncompromising 172-point inspection. Vehicles at this level get a comprehensive limited warranty that covers a huge number of components for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. What's more, the powertrain gets a limited warranty for 7 years or 100,000 miles whichever comes first.
When a Ford is Gold-Certified, you're covered by a major warranty
Cars who pass the test and become Ford Gold-Certified Pre-Owned vehicles then come with an amazing warranty on the power train. It lengthens the original new vehicle warranty from Ford up to 7 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. When you have a covered repair, it will be done with no deductible, which enhances the value of this coverage even more. Our Gold Certified models also protect you with a comprehensive warranty for up to 12 months or 12,000 miles.
What's included in our 172-point Ford CPO inspection
One of our Ford factory-trained technicians examines every potential Ford CPO vehicle in the essential component areas, including the transmission and the engine. He will inspect the suspension and take a close look at the brakes and brake lining as well as the pads and rotors. He will take a look inside the cabin, checking the quality of the upholstery, looking for significant tears or rips. He'll check the vehicle's handling, steering and general safety levels and even check the fluid level in the windshield wiper reservoir.
Ford Blue Certified: More affordable vehicles that are still backed by warranties
A pre-owned Ford can be considered for our Ford Blue Certified program when it's in outstanding condition, has less than 120,000 miles and is less than 10 years old. In the Blue Certified tier, we put our pre-owned Ford trucks, SUVs and sedans through a 139-point inspection and apply the same uncompromising standards that our Gold Certified models must pass. Vehicles that make the cut get a comprehensive warranty for 90 days or 4,000 miles, whichever comes first.
