Route 23 Ford is pleased to announce that our 9th Annual Casino Night raised more than $15,000 for the Push to Walk organization!

"[The clients at Push to Walk] get healthier and I watch the money we raise actually being used instead of sending a check in somewhere. You get a good feeling," said Scott Barna, president of Route 23 Ford.

The 9th Annual Push to Walk Casino Night took place on Saturday March 10, 2018 and the Texas Hold 'Em tournament featured 76 players competing for a grand prize of $5,000 in Visa gift cards. In addition, 13 dinner guests attended and 11 volunteers helped to make the event a success once again.

This past year was unique since there was a new set of challenges to overcome: a snowstorm that caused massive power outages. Not only did Scott Barna and a crew gathered by the dealership worked for 48 hours to clear the location of snow, including from the tops of the 600 cars in the lot, but Butler Electric worked to ensure that power was on in the showroom for the event.

Every year, Route 23 Ford holds their Casino Night to raise money and awareness for Push to Walk who helps people with spinal cord injuries and other forms of paralysis regain strength, function and independence. Currently, 55 clients pay a fee that is offset by the fundraisers for the services provided by Push to Walk. Scholarships are offered to clients with financial needs.

Participants and onlookers also enjoyed a buffet dinner prior to the tournament that included wine and beer. We want to thank all who participated, came and/or donated to help Push For Walk with their noble cause.
